CVSS v3.1 |
| Netty is a network application framework for development of protocol servers and clients. In versions 4.2.0.Final up to (but not including) 4.2.16.Final, and 4.1.0.Final up to (but not including) 4.1.135, the `HAProxyMessageDecoder` in Netty's `codec-haproxy` module performs protocol version detection by reading the 13th byte as a signed Java `byte` and widening it to `int` without masking; a PROXY protocol v2 binary prefix followed by version byte `0xFF` sign-extends to `-1`, collides with the decoder's need-more-data sentinel, and causes `ByteToMessageDecoder` to accumulate inbound bytes in an unbounded `cumulation` buffer until direct memory is exhausted. This issue is fixed in versions 4.1.136.Final and 4.2.16.Final. |
| Netty is a network application framework for development of protocol servers and clients. In versions 4.2.0.Final through 4.2.15.Final and 4.1.0.Final through 4.1.135.Final, the `SpdyHttpDecoder` handler in Netty's SPDY-to-HTTP codec allocates a pooled `ByteBuf` when processing a client-initiated `SYN_STREAM` frame with `FLAG_FIN=0` and stores the partially constructed `FullHttpRequest` in `messageMap`; when the remote peer sends `RST_STREAM` for that stream or the accumulated content exceeds `maxContentLength`, the decoder removes the entry but does not release the pooled `ByteBuf`, causing native memory exhaustion. This issue is fixed in versions 4.1.136.Final and 4.2.16.Final. |
| A flaw was found in Undertow where malformed client requests can trigger server-side stream resets without triggering abuse counters. This issue, referred to as the "MadeYouReset" attack, allows malicious clients to induce excessive server workload by repeatedly causing server-side stream aborts. While not a protocol bug, this highlights a common implementation weakness that can be exploited to cause a denial of service (DoS). |

| Soup Sieve is a CSS selector library designed to be used with Beautiful Soup 4. Prior to 2.8.4, the CSS selector parser in soupsieve allocates unbounded memory when compiling large comma-separated selector lists, allowing an attacker who can supply a crafted selector string to soupsieve.compile() or Beautiful Soup .select() / .select_one() to allocate hundreds of megabytes of heap memory from a relatively small input and cause denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 2.8.4. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
iio: adc: ti-ads1119: fix PM reference leak in buffer preenable
ads1119_triggered_buffer_preenable() resumes the device with
pm_runtime_resume_and_get() before starting a conversion.
If i2c_smbus_write_byte() fails, the function returns the error directly
and leaves the runtime PM usage counter elevated. The matching
postdisable callback is not called when preenable fails, so the reference
is leaked and the device may remain runtime-active indefinitely.
Store the I2C transfer result in ret and drop the runtime PM reference on
failure before returning the error. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
iio: accel: kxsd9: fix runtime PM imbalance on write_raw() error
kxsd9_write_raw() takes a runtime PM reference with pm_runtime_get_sync()
but returns -EINVAL directly when a scale with a non-zero integer part is
requested, skipping the matching pm_runtime_put_autosuspend(). This leaks
a runtime PM usage-counter reference on every such write, after which the
device can no longer autosuspend.
Set the error code and fall through to the existing put instead of
returning early. |
| Improper neutralization of special elements used in a command ('command injection') in Copilot Chat (Microsoft Edge) allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network. |
| RabbitMQ is a messaging and streaming broker. Prior to 3.13.14, 4.0.19, 4.1.10, and 4.2.5, the rabbitmq_management HTTP API accepts oversized valid JSON bodies on with_decode and direct_request paths because read_complete_body checks the accumulated size before the final chunk but not the final combined size. This issue is fixed in versions 3.13.14, 4.0.19, 4.1.10, and 4.2.5. |
| RabbitMQ is a messaging and streaming broker. Prior to 4.2.6, the RabbitMQ stream listener does not enforce the configured stream frame-size limit while assembling frames during authentication and before Tune negotiation, allowing an unauthenticated remote client to declare oversized frame lengths and consume broker memory in rabbit_stream_core. This issue is fixed in version 4.2.6. |
| Zeroconf is a pure Python implementation of multicast DNS service discovery. Prior to 0.149.6, DNSIncoming._log_exception_debug and the four QuietLogger exception-dedup methods stored an unbounded _seen_logs dictionary keyed by attacker-influenced IncomingDecodeError messages, retaining sys.exc_info() tracebacks whose frame locals kept raw packet self.data buffers and allowing unauthenticated hosts on the local link over UDP/5353 (224.0.0.251 / ff02::fb) to drive memory growth until mDNS-dependent features degrade or the process is OOM-killed. This issue is fixed in version 0.149.6. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/amdgpu: fix lock leak on ENOMEM in AMDGPU_GEM_OP_GET_MAPPING_INFO
The AMDGPU_GEM_OP_GET_MAPPING_INFO branch of amdgpu_gem_op_ioctl()
holds three cleanup-tracked resources before calling kvcalloc():
the drm_gem_object reference from drm_gem_object_lookup(), the
drm_exec lock on the looked-up GEM via drm_exec_lock_obj(), and
the drm_exec lock on the per-process VM root page directory via
amdgpu_vm_lock_pd(). All three are released by the out_exec
label that every other error path in this function jumps to.
The kvcalloc() failure path returns -ENOMEM directly, skipping
out_exec and leaking all three.
The leaked per-process VM root PD dma_resv lock is the
load-bearing leak: any subsequent operation on the same VM
(further GEM ops, command-submission, eviction, TTM shrinker
callbacks) blocks on the held lock. DRM_IOCTL_AMDGPU_GEM_OP is
DRM_AUTH | DRM_RENDER_ALLOW, so this is an unprivileged-local
denial of service against the caller's GPU context, reachable
by any process with /dev/dri/renderD* access.
Route the failure through out_exec so drm_exec_fini() and
drm_gem_object_put() run.
Reproduced on stock 7.0.0-10, Ryzen 7 5700U / Radeon Vega
(Lucienne): the failing ioctl returns -ENOMEM and a second
GET_MAPPING_INFO on the same fd then blocks in
drm_exec_lock_obj() on the leaked dma_resv. SIGKILL on the
caller does not reap the task; the fd-release path during
process exit goes through amdgpu_gem_object_close() ->
drm_exec_prepare_obj() on the same lock, leaving the task in D
state until the box is rebooted. The patched kernel was not
rebuilt and re-tested on this hardware; the fix is mechanical.
Tested on a single Lucienne / Vega box only.
Ziyi Guo posted an independent INT_MAX-bound check for
args->num_entries in the same branch [1]; the two patches are
complementary and can land in either order.
