CVE-2025-68338 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: dsa: microchip: Don't free uninitialized ksz_irq If something goes wrong at setup, ksz_irq_free() can be called on uninitialized ksz_irq (for example when ksz_ptp_irq_setup() fails). It leads to freeing uninitialized IRQ numbers and/or domains. Use dsa_switch_for_each_user_port_continue_reverse() in the error path to iterate only over the fully initialized ports.
CVE-2025-68262 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: zstd - fix double-free in per-CPU stream cleanup The crypto/zstd module has a double-free bug that occurs when multiple tfms are allocated and freed. The issue happens because zstd_streams (per-CPU contexts) are freed in zstd_exit() during every tfm destruction, rather than being managed at the module level. When multiple tfms exist, each tfm exit attempts to free the same shared per-CPU streams, resulting in a double-free. This leads to a stack trace similar to: BUG: Bad page state in process kworker/u16:1 pfn:106fd93 page: refcount:0 mapcount:0 mapping:0000000000000000 index:0x0 pfn:0x106fd93 flags: 0x17ffffc0000000(node=0|zone=2|lastcpupid=0x1fffff) page_type: 0xffffffff() raw: 0017ffffc0000000 dead000000000100 dead000000000122 0000000000000000 raw: 0000000000000000 0000000000000000 00000000ffffffff 0000000000000000 page dumped because: nonzero entire_mapcount Modules linked in: ... CVE-2025-68380 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath11k: fix peer HE MCS assignment In ath11k_wmi_send_peer_assoc_cmd(), peer's transmit MCS is sent to firmware as receive MCS while peer's receive MCS sent as transmit MCS, which goes against firmwire's definition. While connecting to a misbehaved AP that advertises 0xffff (meaning not supported) for 160 MHz transmit MCS map, firmware crashes due to 0xffff is assigned to he_mcs->rx_mcs_set field. Ext Tag: HE Capabilities [...] Supported HE-MCS and NSS Set [...] Rx and Tx MCS Maps 160 MHz [...] Tx HE-MCS Map 160 MHz: 0xffff Swap the assignment to fix this issue. As the HE rate control mask is meant to limit our own transmit MCS, it needs to go via he_mcs->rx_mcs_set field. With the aforementioned swapping done, change is needed as well to apply it to the peer's receive MCS. Tested-on: WCN6855 hw2.1 PCI WLAN.HSP.1.1-03125-QCAHSPSWPL_V1_V2_SILICONZ_LITE-3.6510.41 Tested-on: QCN9274 hw2.0 PCI WLAN.WBE.1.4.1-00199-QCAHKSWPL_SILICONZ-1
CVE-2025-68378 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix stackmap overflow check in __bpf_get_stackid() Syzkaller reported a KASAN slab-out-of-bounds write in __bpf_get_stackid() when copying stack trace data. The issue occurs when the perf trace contains more stack entries than the stack map bucket can hold, leading to an out-of-bounds write in the bucket's data array.
CVE-2025-68248 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vmw_balloon: indicate success when effectively deflating during migration When migrating a balloon page, we first deflate the old page to then inflate the new page. However, if inflating the new page succeeded, we effectively deflated the old page, reducing the balloon size. In that case, the migration actually worked: similar to migrating+ immediately deflating the new page. The old page will be freed back to the buddy. Right now, the core will leave the page be marked as isolated (as we returned an error). When later trying to putback that page, we will run into the WARN_ON_ONCE() in balloon_page_putback(). That handling was changed in commit 3544c4faccb8 ("mm/balloon_compaction: stop using __ClearPageMovable()"); before that change, we would have tolerated that way of handling it. To fix it, let's just return 0 in that case, making the core effectively just clear the "isolated" flag + freeing it back to the buddy as if the migration succeeded. Note that the new page will also get freed when the core puts the last reference. Note that this also makes it all be more consistent: we will no longer unisolate the page in the balloon driver while keeping it marked as being isolated in migration core. This was found by code inspection.
CVE-2025-68376 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: coresight: ETR: Fix ETR buffer use-after-free issue When ETR is enabled as CS_MODE_SYSFS, if the buffer size is changed and enabled again, currently sysfs_buf will point to the newly allocated memory(buf_new) and free the old memory(buf_old). But the etr_buf that is being used by the ETR remains pointed to buf_old, not updated to buf_new. In this case, it will result in a memory use-after-free issue. Fix this by checking ETR's mode before updating and releasing buf_old, if the mode is CS_MODE_SYSFS, then skip updating and releasing it.
CVE-2025-68259 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: SVM: Don't skip unrelated instruction if INT3/INTO is replaced When re-injecting a soft interrupt from an INT3, INT0, or (select) INTn instruction, discard the exception and retry the instruction if the code stream is changed (e.g. by a different vCPU) between when the CPU executes the instruction and when KVM decodes the instruction to get the next RIP. As effectively predicted by commit 6ef88d6e36c2 ("KVM: SVM: Re-inject INT3/INTO instead of retrying the instruction"), failure to verify that the correct INTn instruction was decoded can effectively clobber guest state due to decoding the wrong instruction and thus specifying the wrong next RIP. The bug most often manifests as "Oops: int3" panics on static branch checks in Linux guests. Enabling or disabling a static branch in Linux uses the kernel's "text poke" code patching mechanism. To modify code while other CPUs may be executing that code, Linux (temporarily) replaces the first byte of the original instruction with an int3 (opcode 0xcc), then patches in the new code stream except for the first byte, and finally replaces the int3 with the first byte of the new code stream. If a CPU hits the int3, i.e. executes the code while it's being modified, then the guest kernel must look up the RIP to determine how to handle the #BP, e.g. by emulating the new instruction. If the RIP is incorrect, then this lookup fails and the guest kernel panics. The bug reproduces almost instantly by hacking the guest kernel to repeatedly check a static branch[1] while running a drgn script[2] on the host to constantly swap out the memory containing the guest's TSS. CVE-2025-68375 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: perf/x86: Fix NULL event access and potential PEBS record loss When intel_pmu_drain_pebs_icl() is called to drain PEBS records, the perf_event_overflow() could be called to process the last PEBS record. While perf_event_overflow() could trigger the interrupt throttle and stop all events of the group, like what the below call-chain shows. perf_event_overflow() -> __perf_event_overflow() ->__perf_event_account_interrupt() -> perf_event_throttle_group() -> perf_event_throttle() -> event->pmu->stop() -> x86_pmu_stop() The side effect of stopping the events is that all corresponding event pointers in cpuc->events[] array are cleared to NULL. Assume there are two PEBS events (event a and event b) in a group. When intel_pmu_drain_pebs_icl() calls perf_event_overflow() to process the last PEBS record of PEBS event a, interrupt throttle is triggered and all pointers of event a and event b are cleared to NULL. Then intel_pmu_drain_pebs_icl() tries to process the last PEBS record of event b and encounters NULL pointer access. To avoid this issue, move cpuc->events[] clearing from x86_pmu_stop() to x86_pmu_del(). It's safe since cpuc->active_mask or cpuc->pebs_enabled is always checked before access the event pointer from cpuc->events[].
CVE-2025-68339 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: atm/fore200e: Fix possible data race in fore200e_open() Protect access to fore200e->available_cell_rate with rate_mtx lock in the error handling path of fore200e_open() to prevent a data race. The field fore200e->available_cell_rate is a shared resource used to track available bandwidth. It is concurrently accessed by fore200e_open(), fore200e_close(), and fore200e_change_qos(). In fore200e_open(), the lock rate_mtx is correctly held when subtracting vcc->qos.txtp.max_pcr from available_cell_rate to reserve bandwidth. However, if the subsequent call to fore200e_activate_vcin() fails, the function restores the reserved bandwidth by adding back to available_cell_rate without holding the lock. This introduces a race condition because available_cell_rate is a global device resource shared across all VCCs. If the error path in fore200e_open() executes concurrently with operations like fore200e_close() or fore200e_change_qos() on other VCCs, a read-modify-write race occurs. Specifically, the error path reads the rate without the lock. If another CPU acquires the lock and modifies the rate (e.g., releasing bandwidth in fore200e_close()) between this read and the subsequent write, the error path will overwrite the concurrent update with a stale value. This results in incorrect bandwidth accounting.
CVE-2025-68374 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: md: fix rcu protection in md_wakeup_thread We attempted to use RCU to protect the pointer 'thread', but directly passed the value when calling md_wakeup_thread(). This means that the RCU pointer has been acquired before rcu_read_lock(), which renders rcu_read_lock() ineffective and could lead to a use-after-free.

CVE-2025-68371 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: smartpqi: Fix device resources accessed after device removal Correct possible race conditions during device removal. Previously, a scheduled work item to reset a LUN could still execute after the device was removed, leading to use-after-free and other resource access issues. This race condition occurs because the abort handler may schedule a LUN reset concurrently with device removal via sdev_destroy(), leading to use-after-free and improper access to freed resources. - Check in the device reset handler if the device is still present in the controller's SCSI device list before running; if not, the reset is skipped. - Cancel any pending TMF work that has not started in sdev_destroy(). - Ensure device freeing in sdev_destroy() is done while holding the LUN reset mutex to avoid races with ongoing resets.
CVE-2025-68258 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: comedi: multiq3: sanitize config options in multiq3_attach() Syzbot identified an issue [1] in multiq3_attach() that induces a task timeout due to open() or COMEDI_DEVCONFIG ioctl operations, specifically, in the case of multiq3 driver. This problem arose when syzkaller managed to craft weird configuration options used to specify the number of channels in encoder subdevice. If a particularly great number is passed to s->n_chan in multiq3_attach() via it->options[2], then multiple calls to multiq3_encoder_reset() at the end of driver-specific attach() method will be running for minutes, thus blocking tasks and affected devices as well. While this issue is most likely not too dangerous for real-life devices, it still makes sense to sanitize configuration inputs. Enable a sensible limit on the number of encoder chips (4 chips max, each with 2 channels) to stop this behaviour from manifesting. CVE-2025-68266 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bfs: Reconstruct file type when loading from disk syzbot is reporting that S_IFMT bits of inode->i_mode can become bogus when the S_IFMT bits of the 32bits "mode" field loaded from disk are corrupted or when the 32bits "attributes" field loaded from disk are corrupted. A documentation says that BFS uses only lower 9 bits of the "mode" field. But I can't find an explicit explanation that the unused upper 23 bits (especially, the S_IFMT bits) are initialized with 0. Therefore, ignore the S_IFMT bits of the "mode" field loaded from disk. Also, verify that the value of the "attributes" field loaded from disk is either BFS_VREG or BFS_VDIR (because BFS supports only regular files and the root directory).
CVE-2025-68257 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: comedi: check device's attached status in compat ioctls Syzbot identified an issue [1] that crashes kernel, seemingly due to unexistent callback dev->get_valid_routes(). By all means, this should not occur as said callback must always be set to get_zero_valid_routes() in __comedi_device_postconfig(). As the crash seems to appear exclusively in i386 kernels, at least, judging from [1] reports, the blame lies with compat versions of standard IOCTL handlers. Several of them are modified and do not use comedi_unlocked_ioctl(). While functionality of these ioctls essentially copy their original versions, they do not have required sanity check for device's attached status. This, in turn, leads to a possibility of calling select IOCTLs on a device that has not been properly setup, even via COMEDI_DEVCONFIG. Doing so on unconfigured devices means that several crucial steps are missed, for instance, specifying dev->get_valid_routes() callback. Fix this somewhat crudely by ensuring device's attached status before performing any ioctls, improving logic consistency between modern and compat functions. [1] Syzbot report: BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address: 0000000000000000 ...
