pyLoad is a free and open-source download manager written in Python. The fix for CVE-2026-33509 added an ADMIN_ONLY_OPTIONS set to block non-admin users from modifying security-critical config options. The storage_folder option is not in this set and passes the existing path restriction because the Flask session directory is outside both PKGDIR and userdir. A user with SETTINGS and ADD permissions can redirect downloads to the Flask filesystem session store, plant a malicious pickle payload as a predictable session file, and trigger arbitrary code execution when any HTTP request arrives with the corresponding session cookie. This vulnerability is fixed with commit c4cf995a2803bdbe388addfc2b0f323277efc0e1.
Deserialization of Untrusted Data vulnerability in VictorThemes Seil seil allows Object Injection. This issue affects Seil: from n/a through <= 1.7.1.
Serendipity is a PHP-powered weblog engine. In versions 2.6-beta2 and below, the serendipity_setCookie() function in include/functions_config.inc.php uses $_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'] without validation as the domain parameter of setcookie(). An attacker who can influence the Host header at login time, such as via MITM, reverse proxy misconfiguration, or load balancer manipulation, can force authentication cookies including session tokens and auto-login tokens to be scoped to an attacker-controlled domain. This enables session fixation, token leakage to attacker-controlled infrastructure, and privilege escalation if an admin logs in under a poisoned Host header. This issue has been fixed in version 2.6.0.
Sun xVM VirtualBox 2.0.0, 2.0.2, 2.0.4, 2.0.6r39760, 2.1.0, 2.1.2, and 2.1.4r42893 on Linux allows local users to gain privileges via a hardlink attack, which preserves setuid/setgid bits on Linux, related to DT_RPATH:$ORIGIN.
opensuse-updater in openSUSE 10.2 allows local users to access arbitrary files via a symlink attack.
Adobe Flash Player before 9.0.246.0 and 10.x before 10.0.32.18, and Adobe AIR before 1.5.2, allows attackers to trick a user into (1) selecting a link or (2) completing a dialog, related to a "clickjacking vulnerability."
James Stone Tunapie 2.1 allows local users to overwrite arbitrary files via a symlink attack on an unspecified temporary file.
Open redirect vulnerability in the web interface in the Rockwell Automation ControlLogix 1756-ENBT/A EtherNet/IP Bridge Module allows remote attackers to redirect users to arbitrary web sites and conduct phishing attacks via unspecified vectors.
profile.php in ExtCalendar 2 and earlier allows remote attackers to change the passwords of arbitrary users without providing the original password, and possibly perform other unauthorized actions, via modified values to register.php.
Coccinelle 0.1.7 allows local users to overwrite arbitrary files via a symlink attack on an unspecified "result file."
vcdiff in Emacs 20.7 to 22.1.50, when used with SCCS, allows local users to overwrite arbitrary files via a symlink attack on temporary files.
uulib/uunconc.c in UUDeview 0.5.20, as used in nzbget before 0.3.0 and possibly other products, allows local users to overwrite arbitrary files via a symlink attack on a temporary filename generated by the tempnam function. NOTE: this may be a CVE-2004-2265 regression.
policyd-weight 0.1.14 beta-16 and earlier allows local users to modify or delete arbitrary files via a symlink attack on temporary files that are used when creating a socket.
The write_array_file function in utils/include.pl in GForge 4.5.14 updates configuration files by truncating them to zero length and then writing new data, which might allow attackers to bypass intended access restrictions or have unspecified other impact in opportunistic circumstances.
Linux kernel 2.6, when using vservers, allows local users to access resources of other vservers via a symlink attack in /proc.
ClamAV 0.92 allows local users to overwrite arbitrary files via a symlink attack on (1) temporary files used by the cli_gentempfd function in libclamav/others.c or on (2) .ascii files used by sigtool, when utf16-decode is enabled.
Windows Internet Naming Service (WINS) allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (connectivity loss) or steal credentials via a 1Ch registration that causes WINS to change the domain controller to point to a malicious server. NOTE: this problem may be limited when Windows 95/98 clients are used, or if the primary domain controller becomes unavailable.
