CVSS v3.1 |
Use after free in Microsoft Office allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code locally.
A double free issue has been identified in libarchive's RAR5 reader. During parsing of a specially crafted RAR5 archive, the filtered_buf pointer may remain stale after being freed during unpacking state reinitialization. Subsequent processing of another archive entry can trigger a second free of the same memory region, resulting in a double-free condition. Successful exploitation may cause applications using the vulnerable libarchive API to terminate unexpectedly, leading to a denial of service.
In proxygen from v2026.04.06.00 until v2026.09.28.00, QuicWtSession::closeSession accesses its member fields after calling the base QuicWtSessionBase::closeSession method. The base method notifies the session handler, which may release the last reference to the session and destroy it.
In proxygen from v2024.10.28.00 until v2026.09.28.00, the HTTPTransaction::onWebTransportUniStream and HTTPTransaction::onWebTransportBidiStream APIs could return stream handles that the stream handler had already freed. HQSession then installed those handles as transport read callbacks, which could lead to use of freed memory.
In proxygen from v2024.10.28.00 until v2026.09.28.00, WebTransportImpl::terminateSessionStreams (WebTransportImpl::destroy in releases before v2025.08.18.00) failed to unregister read callbacks for streams that were no longer open before destroying them. The transport could then invoke a read callback that had been freed.
Envoy is an open source edge and service proxy designed for cloud-native applications. Prior to 1.36.10, 1.37.6, 1.38.4, and 1.39.1, Envoy's optional oghttp2 upstream HTTP/2 codec accepts a response trailer HEADERS frame without END_STREAM. Envoy completes and deferred-deletes the ActiveRequest while oghttp2 keeps the stream open, leaving ClientStreamImpl with a dangling response_decoder_ reference. A later frame on the stream can dispatch through the freed object and crash the process. The relevant scope boundary is that the default nghttp2 codec rejects the malformed trailers, and the trigger is upstream-only with oghttp2 enabled. This issue is fixed in versions 1.36.10, 1.37.6, 1.38.4, and 1.39.1.
IBM Concert 1.0.0 through 3.0.0 has a double free vulnerability that exists due to incorrect memory management. A local attacker can exploit this flaw to corrupt heap memory and execute arbitrary code in the context of the affected process.
Concurrent execution using shared resource with improper synchronization ('race condition') in Windows Management Instrumentation allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.
Use after free in DNS Server allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network.
| Dancer2 versions before 2.2.0 for Perl serve a layout as a page when an equivalent spelling of its path misses the guard in the AutoPage handler.
The handler compares the request path against the layout directory name as text, while the lookup that follows canonicalises it. A doubled slash, a dot segment, a percent-encoded slash, or a different capitalisation on a case-insensitive filesystem therefore misses the guard.
The handler is off by default, enabled with auto_page. The layout wrapping every page is already public, so this discloses one of the application's other layouts. |
Use after free in Windows Win32K allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.
Suricata is a network Intrusion Detection System, Intrusion Prevention System and Network Security Monitoring engine. Prior to versions 7.0.16 and 8.0.5, Suricata's inspection-buffer helper could leave an inspection pointer referencing freed memory after a chained transform caused the backing buffer to be reallocated. The issue is reached during a specific network traffic processing, and requires a specific but not malicious rule. Versions 7.0.16 and 8.0.5 contain a fix. As a workaround, avoid rules that chain `dotprefix` transform after another one.
Suricata is a network Intrusion Detection System, Intrusion Prevention System and Network Security Monitoring engine. Starting in version 8.0.0 and prior to version 8.0.5, when certain detection transforms are chained, the decompress transform pipeline could read from an inspection buffer after it had been reallocated and freed. The issue is reached during network traffic processing, but requires a malicious rule as Suricata will crash whatever the traffic. Version 8.0.5 contains a fix. As a workaround, avoid rules that chain `gunzip` or `zlib_deflate` with `max-size` bigger than 4096 after another transform.
Use after free in Windows Modern Device Management (MDM) allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges over a network.
Use after free in Windows Connected User Experiences and Telemetry allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.
GitLab has remediated an issue in GitLab CE/EE affecting all versions from 19.2 before 19.2.7, 19.3 before 19.3.3, and 19.4 before 19.4.1 that under certain conditions could have allowed an authenticated user to execute arbitrary code on the GitLab server due to a double free issue when parsing a specially crafted regular expression in a CI/CD configuration.
Use after free in Windows Devices Human Interface allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.
Use after free in Windows Device Association Service allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.
Double free in Remote Desktop Gateway Service allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.
In all builds that make use of (D)TLS, including default builds, there is a series of conditional states during the TLS shutdown which could lead to a heap-use-after free. If an application ended up getting a partial wolfSSL_read() which is sometimes caused by a small user buffer passed in, then called wolfSSL_shutdown for a bidirectional close and attempted to wolfSSL_read() again while the peer continues trying to send data during the shutdown it would lead to a state where a potential heap-use-after free happened.
