CVE-2022-50636 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: PCI: Fix pci_device_is_present() for VFs by checking PF pci_device_is_present() previously didn't work for VFs because it reads the Vendor and Device ID, which are 0xffff for VFs, which looks like they aren't present. Check the PF instead. Wei Gong reported that if virtio I/O is in progress when the driver is unbound or "0" is written to /sys/.../sriov_numvfs, the virtio I/O operation hangs, which may result in output like this: task:bash state:D stack: 0 pid: 1773 ppid: 1241 flags:0x00004002 Call Trace: schedule+0x4f/0xc0 blk_mq_freeze_queue_wait+0x69/0xa0 blk_mq_freeze_queue+0x1b/0x20 blk_cleanup_queue+0x3d/0xd0 virtblk_remove+0x3c/0xb0 [virtio_blk] virtio_dev_remove+0x4b/0x80 ... device_unregister+0x1b/0x60 unregister_virtio_device+0x18/0x30 virtio_pci_remove+0x41/0x80 pci_device_remove+0x3e/0xb0 This happened because pci_device_is_present(VF) returned "false" in virtio_pci_remove(), so it called virtio_break_device(). The broken vq meant that vring_interrupt() skipped the vq.callback() that would have completed the virtio I/O operation via virtblk_done(). CVE-2022-50582 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: regulator: core: Prevent integer underflow By using a ratio of delay to poll_enabled_time that is not integer time_remaining underflows and does not exit the loop as expected. As delay could be derived from DT and poll_enabled_time is defined in the driver this can easily happen. Use a signed iterator to make sure that the loop exits once the remaining time is negative.

CVE-2022-50774 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: qat - fix DMA transfer direction When CONFIG_DMA_API_DEBUG is selected, while running the crypto self test on the QAT crypto algorithms, the function add_dma_entry() reports a warning similar to the one below, saying that overlapping mappings are not supported. This occurs in tests where the input and the output scatter list point to the same buffers (i.e. two different scatter lists which point to the same chunks of memory). The logic that implements the mapping uses the flag DMA_BIDIRECTIONAL for both the input and the output scatter lists which leads to overlapped write mappings. These are not supported by the DMA layer. Fix by specifying the correct DMA transfer directions when mapping buffers. For in-place operations where the input scatter list matches the output scatter list, buffers are mapped once with DMA_BIDIRECTIONAL, otherwise input buffers are mapped using the flag DMA_TO_DEVICE and output buffers are mapped with DMA_FROM_DEVICE. Overlapping a read mapping with a write mapping is a valid case in dma-coherent devices like QAT. The function that frees and unmaps the buffers, qat_alg_free_bufl() has been changed accordingly to the changes to the mapping function. DMA-API: 4xxx 0000:06:00.0: cacheline tracking EEXIST, overlapping mappings aren't supported WARNING: CPU: 53 PID: 4362 at kernel/dma/debug.c:570 add_dma_entry+0x1e9/0x270 ... In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mptcp: use proper req destructor for IPv6 Before, only the destructor from TCP request sock in IPv4 was called even if the subflow was IPv6. It is important to use the right destructor to avoid memory leaks with some advanced IPv6 features, e.g. when the request socks contain specific IPv6 options.
CVE-2022-50764 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6/sit: use DEV_STATS_INC() to avoid data-races syzbot/KCSAN reported that multiple cpus are updating dev->stats.tx_error concurrently. This is because sit tunnels are NETIF_F_LLTX, meaning their ndo_start_xmit() is not protected by a spinlock. While original KCSAN report was about tx path, rx path has the same issue.

However, inode<5> contain incorrect imode and disordered extents, and i_nlink is set to 1. The extents check for inode in the ext4_iget function can be bypassed bacause 5 is EXT4_BOOT_LOADER_INO. While links_count is set to 1, the extents are not initialized in swap_inode_boot_loader. After the ioctl command is executed successfully, the extents are swapped to inode<12>, in this case, run the `cat` command to view inode<12>. And Bug_ON is triggered due to the incorrect extents. When the boot loader inode is not initialized, its imode can be one of the following: 1) the imode is a bad type, which is marked as bad_inode in ext4_iget and set to S_IFREG. 2) the imode is good type but not S_IFREG. 3) the imode is S_IFREG. The BUG_ON may be triggered by bypassing the check in cases 1 and 2. Therefore, when the boot loader inode is bad_inode or its imode is not S_IFREG, initialize the inode to avoid triggering the BUG.
CVE-2022-50640 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mmc: core: Fix kernel panic when remove non-standard SDIO card SDIO tuple is only allocated for standard SDIO card, especially it causes memory corruption issues when the non-standard SDIO card has removed, which is because the card device's reference counter does not increase for it at sdio_init_func(), but all SDIO card device reference counter gets decreased at sdio_release_func().
CVE-2022-50642 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: platform/chrome: cros_ec_typec: zero out stale pointers `cros_typec_get_switch_handles` allocates four pointers when obtaining type-c switch handles. These pointers are all freed if failing to obtain any of them; therefore, pointers in `port` become stale. The stale pointers eventually cause use-after-free or double free in later code paths. Zeroing out all pointer fields after freeing to eliminate these stale pointers.

CVE-2022-50721 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dmaengine: qcom-adm: fix wrong calling convention for prep_slave_sg The calling convention for pre_slave_sg is to return NULL on error and provide an error log to the system. Qcom-adm instead provide error pointer when an error occur. This indirectly cause kernel panic for example for the nandc driver that checks only if the pointer returned by device_prep_slave_sg is not NULL. Returning an error pointer makes nandc think the device_prep_slave_sg function correctly completed and makes the kernel panics later in the code. While nandc is the one that makes the kernel crash, it was pointed out that the real problem is qcom-adm not following calling convention for that function. To fix this, drop returning error pointer and return NULL with an error log.
